The DEB consists of 2 VDD pins, 2 ground (or GND) pins, 4 input pins (marked as IN0, IN1, IN2, IN3), embedded clock and clock enable pins, and 10 output pins(marked as OUT0 through out 9). The VDD pins are crucial as they power up the different components used in a circuit, for instance, different logic gates ICs, transistors. flip flops ICs and so on.

The ground pins can be used for getting a logic ‘0’ for any input as well as when we want to specifically include a ground connection in the circuit. The input pin connections to the breadboard can be made using the jumper wires. The output pins additionally have LEDs attached to it. This gives us the clear visual of the output obtained. The clock pins help to develop simpler implementations of flip flops as well as state machine designs. It also has four switches (namely SW0, SW1, SW2, SW3) with push type buttons for simplified and clear maneuvering without disrupting any built up connections on the breadboard part of the DEB. One of the most important and interesting features of the DEB is the detection of errors when building circuit. It has a special implementation of a circuit already embedded on the breadboard such that if VDD and GND are shorted together the ATTN led glows up RED.  In the usual case, a working circuit has the ON led glowing in GREEN.
